OnePlus Turbo 6 launched in India

OnePlus recently introduced the Turbo 6 series in China, launching two new smartphones: the OnePlus Turbo 6 and the Turbo 6V. Both the devices have been launched in the mid-range segment, with the 9,000mAh battery being one of their biggest features. In fact, it’s one of the largest batteries ever seen in a mainstream smartphone. Along with this, the new OnePlus phones also bring improved durability with advanced Qualcomm processors and high levels of dust and water protection.

On paper, the Turbo series already looks promising, and now all eyes are on its global and India debut. If reports are to be believed, OnePlus can bring the same hardware to international markets under the Nord branding. If this happens, then the upcoming OnePlus Nord 6 and Nord CE 6 could be based on the Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V.

This speculation is being linked to the recent certification listing for the OnePlus Nord 6. According to a report by GSMArena, the device has cleared several global certifications including SIRIM, GCF in Malaysia, and TDRA in the UAE, which suggests that OnePlus is already preparing the Nord 6 for a wider launch.

That said, OnePlus hasn’t confirmed anything yet. However, the company has a history of rebranding its Turbo models for global markets, often making some changes to the specifications to better suit international and Indian users.

OnePlus Nord 6 expected India launch date

Following the latest GSMArena report, the OnePlus Nord 6 has received regulatory approval in multiple regions. This is a process that usually takes place a few weeks or a few months before a device is officially unveiled. The Nord 5 debuted in July last year, but these early certifications suggest its successor could arrive earlier than expected in 2026.

If OnePlus follows its usual launch pattern, the Nord 6 could be introduced globally, including India, in the first half of the year. However, the company has not shared any official timeline yet, and details regarding the name and launch schedule of the final product have been kept under wraps. So, there may still be changes.

oneplus nord 6 price in india

While pricing for the Nord 6 has not been confirmed, China prices for the Turbo 6 series provide a useful reference point. In China, the OnePlus Turbo 6 price starts at CNY 2,099 (roughly Rs. 27,000), while the Turbo 6V is priced at CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 21,000). This places the series firmly in the mid-range segment.

If OnePlus rebrands these devices as the Nord 6 lineup for India, prices are expected to remain in the same bracket. This could mean that the OnePlus Nord 6 will launch in India at a starting price of around Rs. 28,000 to Rs. 32,000, depending on configuration, taxes and localization costs, where its predecessors were deployed. The Nord 6V, if offered as the Nord CE 6, could sit around Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 25,000 range.

OnePlus Nord 6 Expected Specifications

If the Nord 6 is based on the OnePlus Turbo 6, it will likely be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8S Gen 4 chipset, making it one of the most powerful phones in the Nord lineup so far and a step up from the Nord 5. The device can support up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage, taking it closer to flagship territory than traditional mid-range phones.

One of the biggest talking points is expected to be the battery. The Turbo 6 houses a massive 9,000mAh unit, paired with support for 80W fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging. If this is carried over to the Nord 6, it will turn the phone into a true power-centric device, with one of the largest batteries in its segment.

Durability may be another area where the Nord 6 stands out. The Turbo 6 has IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, which means it’s built to handle dust, water immersion, and even high-pressure water jets. This level of protection is still rare in the mid-range category and could become a significant differentiator if maintained.

On the camera front, the expected setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 2-megapixel secondary camera, and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Other features likely to be cut include full-function NFC, multi-band GPS support, and long-term software updates. If these features come to the Nord 6, they could bring notable improvements over the Nord 5.

It’s also worth noting that while the Turbo 6 series runs ColorOS 16 in China, the Indian version of the Nord 6 is expected to come with OxygenOS, in line with OnePlus’ long-standing software strategy for global markets.

Please note that OnePlus has not officially confirmed the arrival of the Nord 6 series, and the specifications of the Nord 6 are still based on speculation. Only time will tell whether the final Nord 6 lineup will bring some changes or even borrow features from the Turbo 6.
