OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 15R along with the OnePlus Pad Go 2 in India. The OnePlus 15R, in particular, arrives as the brand’s latest premium mid-range smartphone with flagship-like performance. It is the first phone in India to feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and is backed by a massive 7,400mAh battery, which is one of the largest you will get in this segment.
According to OnePlus, the 15R is positioned as an all-rounder mid-ranger, with a focus on strong everyday performance, longer battery life, and improved durability, wrapped in a design that closely mirrors the flagship OnePlus 15.

OnePlus 15R price and availability
OnePlus 15R price in India starts from Rs 47,999. It is available in 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage configurations.
The phone will be available in India at a starting price of Rs 47,999 and will be available in multiple color options, including Mint Breeze, Charcoal Black and Electric Violet, with the Purple color option being exclusive to India.
As part of the launch offers, OnePlus has also announced bank discounts, taking the effective starting price to Rs 44,999.
Specifications and features of OnePlus 15R
The OnePlus 15R is a feature-packed device. It comes with a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution of 2800×1272 pixels. The display supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 165Hz. The panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
Under the hood, OnePlus’ new premium mid-ranger is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, making it the first smartphone globally to launch with this processor. It is paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. To manage thermals, OnePlus has included its Cryo Velocity cooling system inside the 15R, which includes a vapor chamber and additional thermal layers designed to handle heavy workloads and demanding tasks like gaming.
Battery life is another major focus on the OnePlus 15R. The phone packs a 7,400mAh battery, which is larger than the one used in the flagship OnePlus 15. It supports 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, with OnePlus claiming full charge in about an hour.
In terms of camera, the OnePlus 15R sports a dual rear camera setup. It includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 main sensor with optical image stabilization, along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. On the front of the device there is a 32-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus. Camera features include Ultra Clear Mode, Clear Burst for motion shots, and Clear Night Engine for low-light photography. The phone supports video recording up to 4K at 120fps.
OnePlus 15R runs OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. The software includes updated animations, multitasking improvements, and AI-based features. One of the key additional features is Plus Mind, which can be accessed via the new Plus key on the side of the phone. OnePlus has integrated Plus Mind with Google Gemini, allowing users to save information on the device and later search, summarize or retrieve it using AI.
