The OnePlus 13 is launching earlier than we expected. The OnePlus 12 was officially launched in December last year, but this time the OnePlus 13 is expected to arrive in October, according to a well-known Chinese tipster called Digital Chat Station. The report also suggests that the OnePlus 13 could be the first device to feature Snapdragon’s flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which will be announced at the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii. OnePlus has not shared anything related to the launch yet, but if the launch is indeed happening in October, we can expect the company to release some details in the coming days.

OnePlus 13: Everything we know

The OnePlus 13 is shaping up to be an exciting release, with leaks revealing some notable changes, especially in its camera design. Unlike the previous model, the OnePlus 13 is expected to have vertically stacked rear cameras in the top-left corner, moving away from the traditional circular layout. Adding a bit of flair, there will reportedly be a wide ring around one of the cameras, giving the design a fresh look. The camera module is also going to feature Hasselblad branding, which is a significant change from the design of the OnePlus 12 series.

These design updates are not just rumours, but have been hinted at by a reliable source Digital Chat Station on Weibo, which suggests that the OnePlus 13 may indeed feature this new camera arrangement. There is also talk about possible advancements in camera technology, especially with OnePlus being part of Oppo, a brand known for its camera excellence. For instance, Oppo’s Find X7 Ultra comes with a 50-megapixel main sensor and two 50-megapixel periscope cameras, one of which offers 6x optical zoom. There is speculation that the OnePlus 13 may include some of these impressive features.

Performance-wise, the OnePlus 13 is expected to take a significant leap forward with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, which will replace the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Additionally, rumours suggest the phone will retain its 2K display and might feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for better security.

As far as its release is concerned, the OnePlus 13 is likely to launch later this year. If it is anything like previous launches, it will be available in China first before coming to India.
While these details are interesting, they are speculations. We’ll have to wait for OnePlus to officially unveil its next flagship to find out what the OnePlus 13 will have in store.
