Sivakarthikeyan is based on the success of his latest film, Madharsi as well as the success of Rukmini Vasant and Vidyartha Jammal. After the dramatic release of the film, the actor reacted to a reduction of Rs 1000 crore in Tamil cinema.
Why does Tamil cinema not have 1000 crores
Talking with the Cinema Express, SivakartheKeyan revealed that a film cannot be made with the only intention of chasing a mark of Rs 1000 crore.
The actor said, “I had said this earlier, but when we did Amaran, we did not think that it would not eventually be about that number. Apart from the quality of a film, there are other factors like ticket pricing, such as ticket pricing. I am not in favor of raising ticket prices, but if we charge like Bengaluru or Mumbai, then Jailor RS 1
The actor insisted that Tamil cinema needs to enter North Indian markets. However, SK said that most Tamil films signs a four -week deal with OTT platforms, while multiplexes in Mumbai will only screen a film if the date of the digital premiere is at least eight weeks after the dramatic release. He also mentioned that Amaran would have reached the broad audience in the northern regions if not for this puzzle.
Performing his performance on films worth Rs 1000 crore in Tamil cinema, Shivkarthikeyan expressed optimism that the magical number would soon be obtained by the industry. He said, “It is not so easy to draw by any one person. But I believe that Tamil cinema is reaching there, and the elusive Rs 1000 crore will be achieved in a few years.”
