However, it stayed true to its American roots with references to the “Star-Spangled Banner” and Fourth of July fireworks in red, white and blue.

The team’s Tuesday final leotard honored the 1996 U.S. women’s gymnastics team. The 1996 gymnastics team made history when they won the first-ever U.S. team gold in the women’s all-around competition, becoming known as the “Magnificent Seven.” The 2024 version features a similar motif with a modern touch of crystals, an improvement over the 1996 leotard that lacked any shiny details.
