Olivia Rodrigo reveals mistaken identity got her ‘in trouble’ with the law for the first time in her life; what happened here

It was certainly ‘brutal’ for Olivia Rodrigo when she got into trouble with the law for the first time in her life due to mistaken identity. The singer revealed this funny incident during her recent interview.

The songstress, who completed her Guts World Tour tour in October, appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote the film of her tour, streaming on Netflix, on Tuesday, October 29.

“I got in trouble with the law for the first time in my life,” Rodrigo told Fallon. The singer continued, “We were going from Canada to Portland or something.” She said they were at border control and she gave them her passport and after seeing it, “they said, ‘Okay, whatever.'” Then they knocked on the door and said they needed Olivia.

The Driver’s License singer thought his name was called because perhaps his daughter wanted an autograph. She then told Fallon it was 3 in the morning and she came out “unconscious”, and was taken to an interrogation room where there was a large officer with a gun.

The police asked Rodrigo if he had been arrested before and he told them that he had not. Then he asked her if she was sure. The pop star revealed that she lit the gaslight thinking maybe she had been arrested and forgot about it.

She revealed that the officer told her that she could face jail time for lying to a federal official. The singer told Fallon that she was nervous and thought she might not be allowed into the US. She revealed that she was scared and was experiencing panic attacks.

The Gaddaar singer shared that after 30 minutes of questioning, the cop looked at her and asked what her name was, and she replied by telling her full name and her last name.

It appears that the officer realized that he had misidentified the singer. She told him that there was a girl of the same age who looked exactly like her and that she had been arrested several times. She told Rodrigo that her name was Olivia Rodriguez. The singer told the host she was “outraged.”
