O Romeo Box Office Collection: Shahid Kapoor and Trupti Dimri’s film collects Rs 75 lakh on third Friday in India

Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and starring Shahid Kapoor and Trupti Dimri in the lead roles along with Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwari, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vikrant Massey, Farida Jalal and others, O’Romeo grossed Rs. Earning of Rs 75 lakh was done on third Friday. The film’s earnings declined by approximately 15 percent compared to the previous day and by approximately 60 percent compared to the previous Friday. The film should have at least remained flat, if not post a spike.

Produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment on a heavy budget, the romantic action drama collected a 22-day gross of Rs. Earned Rs 54.75 crore at the Indian box office. Based on current trends, the film is expected to collect around Rs. 15,000 in its third weekend. 3-3.50 crore nett, which takes its total earnings to Rs. Will take till. 57 crore nett or so.

The Shahid Kapoor starrer has sold its entire theatrical run at around Rs. Earning 60 crores in India, which is not a good result for such a high budget film, that too with such a good cast. One of the main reasons why the film did not get the success it needed was the mixed response it received from the audience. Had the film received favorable word-of-mouth, it would have performed much better.
