NRI mathematics teacher from Australia, property worth crores in India: Creepy murder conspiracy by family members revealed

Australian NRI Sunil Sharma was murdered by his brother in India over property worth crores.

A week after Surbhi Sharma, daughter of an NRI mathematics teacher in Australia, started a petition to find her father, police in India have unraveled a heart-wrenching murder conspiracy by making four arrests. And four are his brother, brother’s wife, son and another person involved in the conspiracy. Sunil Sharma, 66, was a mathematics teacher at Diamond Valley College. He was nearing retirement and had come to India to sell two properties. But he mysteriously disappeared in India, which was first reported on May 23, when a person in India reported that Sharma had gone missing.Sharma, an Australian citizen of Indian origin, had reached India a day earlier. The property was undergoing some renovation work before the alleged sale, for which Sharma had traveled to India. There was property worth crores in his name in India.“Anyone who has met my father will say that he is intelligent, strong and funny, but he is also loving and sensitive. I consider myself very lucky to have a father like him,” Surbhi said last week when she asked for help in finding her father. By that time Sharma had died. Surbhi also said that her father used to travel to India regularly. “He goes to India often, especially since my mother passed away four years ago. So he is trying to sell his property there so he can come back and retire.““My brother and I have been told not to go there as it is not uncommon for family members to go missing if there is an issue involving property or money,” he said.It has not yet been confirmed whether police in India have found Sharma’s body or not.Sunil Sharma’s brother Satish Sharma conspired to kill the NRI to grab his property through fake power of attorney. A property dealer was also involved in the scheme. According to reports, Satish had called Sunil Sharma to India by luring him with a property deal. As soon as he arrived, the plan gained momentum. The NRI was first given sleeping pills and then he was killed by hitting him on the head with a baseball bat. After this the accused destroyed all the evidence and also threw away the body.Satish Sharma, his wife and son and the builder have been arrested.CCTV footage from a property showed Sharma coming and going twice while supervising a group of painters on May 22, the last day he was seen alive.
