Nothing Phone 2 was launched in India in 2023

After confirming that the Nothing Phone (3) will hit the market in the first quarter of 2025, the company recently shared a rough sketch of what the rear panel will look like. While the post is a bit cryptic, the teaser does show a drawing of screws and other consoles that nothing could suggest the phone (3) continues the legacy of a transparent back case. A few weeks ago, CEO Carl Pei said that 2025 is going to be the company’s biggest year ever, thanks to the launch of the Nothing Phone (3). He said the phone would mark Nothing’s first step toward its AI-powered platform.

Nothing phone (3) can follow the transparent rear panel trend

Nothing recently teased its “Work in Progress (WIP)” design, possibly the upcoming Anything phone (3). Even though the design is not clear enough, the elements resemble a transparent rear panel, which is nothing trademark. Looking at the images, it is hard to identify details, but it is confirmed that the images belong to the upcoming device.

That said, the Nothing phone (3) is not the only smartphone speculated to hit the market this year. Recently, a CMF-branded phone was spotted on the IMEI database. This means that nothing is planning to launch its CMF Phone 2. Hence, the design could also be a feature in the upcoming CMF Phone 2. However, if nothing else the phone (3) is to launch in March, which is just a month later, it would make more sense to share details around it.

Nothing Phone (3) launch: What we know so far

According to recent leaks, the much-awaited Nothing phone (3) is set to introduce a number of exciting features, including iPhone-inspired action buttons and a 6.5-inch display. Additionally, a Pro variant is also rumored to debut with it, featuring a larger 6.7-inch screen.

Earlier, PEI and his team hinted at advanced AI integration in the upcoming phone (3). The device aims to provide a highly personalized user experience, with AI woven seamlessly into the operating system. A revamped home screen is anticipated to be one of the first significant upgrades driven by this integration.

Based on its predecessor, the Nothing phone (3) may feature a mid-range chipset, such as the Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 or the MediaTek Snapdragon 9200+. In comparison, the previous Anything phone (2), equipped with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, entered the premium segment. But, it is important to note that since the phone will come with many advanced AI-powered features, such as personal assistants, it may require a better and stronger processor. Exact details will only be revealed during the launch.
