Before dealing with the criticism he received on social media for his stance on world peace, Fatehi wished fans a happy Holi in his recent Instagram stories.
He said, “I think a lot of people have lost touch with comprehension skills and listening skills. These are some of the things we used to learn in school, comprehension skills, critical thinking skills, the ability to read and just being able to listen. I think a lot of people have lost that stage in life, especially now with social media and phones. We’re not able to get our brains to that level of understanding things.”
Advocacy of world peace and unity
Fatehi further emphasized that his messages about peace are directed at everyone around the world and reiterated the importance of collective responsibility.
She expressed that while she generally talks about living peacefully and speaking against anarchy, if people have any problems, they need to check themselves. “Morally, there is something wrong. When I posted my video about how tired we are as a society with one chaos after another, one major world event after another, I was speaking for everyone. So if this bothers you, upsets you or triggers you, you need to check yourself,” she said.
Reflections on global fatigue and response
The actor-dancer also addressed the growing fatigue among people around the world due to recurring global crises. He said that his intention was to represent the collective exhaustion experienced by society and to urge everyone to choose peace over anarchy.
Reflecting on the reaction, Fatehi said, “When I’m thinking today, I’ve just said my prayers and I’m about to break my fast, I’m sitting here thinking how we live in a world where if you speak about world peace people get upset or angry. It’s scary. I will always advocate for world peace and unity. Nothing can scare me.”
Earlier, Fatehi had clarified in his video message that he was safe in India and not in Dubai, which was hit by flight disruptions due to the situation in the Middle East. He observed that uncertainty has become a shared global experience, with recurring crises leaving many people emotionally exhausted.
He had stressed the importance of unity, compassion and trust during turbulent times and urged people to remain grounded despite circumstances beyond their control.
impact of global conflict
The background to Fatehi’s statements is the recent escalation of conflict involving military operations by the US and Israel against Iran. Iran’s leadership has suffered significant casualties, leading the country’s military to target US bases in the Middle East. The tensions have caused massive flight disruptions, especially in Dubai and other cities. Indian citizens stranded in the affected areas have been evacuated.
