No joke: Makeup artist recalls Ranveer’s strict attitude on Dhurandhar 2 sets
Dhurandhar: The Revenge makeup artist Karandeep Singh reveals how Ranveer Singh handled the intense transformation for the film. He praised Ranveer’s dedication despite heavy prosthetics during the shoot.
Celebrity makeup artist Karandeep Singh shares an inside look at actor Ranveer Singh and director Aditya Dhar’s transformation Dhurandhar: Revenge. Karandeep, in an emotional note, praised Ranveer’s dedication, recalling how the actor endured hours of heavy prosthetics and intricate make-up in scorching conditions without any tantrums.
Dhurandhar: Revenge The makeup artist mentioned that Ranveer would constantly remind everyone on the set to keep focused on the work. Sharing a picture of Ranveer, she captioned, “@RanveerSingh we love you (red heart emoji) The precision with which you performed Hamza and then transformed into Jaskirat was simply outstanding. As an artiste who has worked closely with you, I have learned a lot about what hard work, perseverance and honesty towards your art truly means.”

“I still remember you telling everyone on the set – ‘Focus on your work because this is no joke (Mind your work because this is no joke)’. And today that dedication is visible on the screen in front of the whole world. I really hope people learn from the discipline and passion behind this massive success,” Karandeep added.
He further added, “As a makeup artist, it’s always a pleasure to work with you. You never once threw a tantrum, even when we had to apply heavy prosthetics, blood effects and complex makeup for hours – sometimes in 45-degree heat with those intense costumes. Trust me, it’s not easy but you always made it easy for the team. And as you used to say on the set, ‘You guys don’t know what we made (You guys have no idea what we made)’.”
At the end of the note, Karandeep wrote, “Now the whole world knows. Thank you for the love, patience and faith you have shown in our work.”
Dhurandhar: Revenge Has been released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The film also stars actors Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi in lead roles. The film is co-produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios. This is the sequel to stalwartReleased in December 2025.
Dhurandhar: Revenge Actor Pawan Kalyan’s Telugu action-drama Ustad Bhagat Singh had a theatrical release on March 19, 2026.
