No Galaxy S26 Edge? Samsung is planning a replacement and it might look like this

It appears that Samsung is making some last-minute changes to the Galaxy S26 series. The Korean giant has reportedly decided to cancel the ultra-slim S26 Edge variant due to low sales. Instead, the company will retain the Plus variant in the lineup. Now, AndroidHeadlines has reportedly leaked official renders of the Galaxy S26 Plus.

The report shows official CAD renders of the device. The renders show a similar design to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus, but with a few notable changes. The Galaxy S26 Plus will get a single camera module that houses all three lenses instead of separate camera cutouts. Additionally, the S26 Plus has more rounded corners than its predecessors.

The device also gets a flat AMOLED panel with minimal bezels. According to the report, the display size will be 6.7 inches. The frame also appears to be flat with a slight curvature at the edges to make the device more comfortable to hold.

The renders are in two colors – white and a bright orange shade similar to the iPhone 17 Pro. However, colors are for representation only and official shades will vary.

Expected specifications of Samsung Galaxy S26 series

Apart from the new design, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. However, some regions may get devices with Exynos 2600 SoC.

Similar to the S26 Plus, the Galaxy S26 and S26 Ultra will also get new camera modules and better AMOLED display panels for better visuals. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra also features a privacy screen.

There is also a possibility of seeing an increase in the size of the battery. The base Galaxy S26 is expected to have a 4,300mAh battery, with the S26 Plus and S26 Ultra expected to get 4,900mAh and 5,400mAh battery packs respectively.

The device will also get more AI features and some camera bumps. However there are conflicting reports when it comes to the Galaxy S26 cameras.

Samsung Galaxy S26 series launch expected

Samsung has reportedly postponed the launch of the Galaxy S26 series to February 25, 2026. This is probably due to the decision to cancel the S26 Edge.

There is no information available regarding the possible price of the Galaxy S26 series. However, Samsung may keep it unchanged from last year. Galaxy S25 was launched in India for Rs 80,999.
