Nivin Pauly opens up about his recent flops in Malayalam cinema
Speaking with Pearle Mane on his YouTube channel, Nivin Pauly said, “There was a time in my life when I was confused. My friends and people close to me kept telling me that I should not just do entertaining films and that as an actor, I should improve like others.”
He said, “They kept advising me that I was not showcasing my full potential as an actor. They wanted me to do not just comedy films, but thriller films and other genres as well. They felt that if I kept doing comedy films, I would be forgettable. At that moment, I also felt that maybe they were right. Maybe I should try doing different things as an actor.”
“However, when I changed my choice of films to suit other genres, the same people came back and told me how much they miss my comedy films. I said, ‘Weren’t you the one who asked me to change?'” the Premam actor said humorously.
