Recently the prestigious sporting event Summer Olympics 2024 kicked off in Paris. Many high profile personalities and celebrities were present during the opening ceremony on July 26 and some are also gracing the games. American singer and actor Nick Jonas is also attending the Olympics. He revealed that the reason for him attending the event is related to his and Priyanka Chopra’s wedding.
Nick Jonas reveals the Priyanka Chopra connection behind participating in 2024 Paris Olympics
Before going to Paris, Nick Jonas appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. On the talk show, he explained why he is going to the Paris Olympics. Nick said, “I got a call and it said that Ralph Lauren is making a small group of people to go to the Olympics.”
He revealed that the designer has been a part of many important moments in his life including his wedding to Priyanka Chopra. “Nick dressed me and my wife for the wedding, we met because we were paired together at the Met Gala with Ralph Lauren years ago,” Nick said.
Nick said the Olympics are his favorite thing.
During the show, Nick also talked about how his fans in India lovingly call him Jiju. He said, “Jiju means husband of elder sister, so I am the elder brother for India.” Nick also admitted that he loves this love.
Priyanka Chopra thanks Nick Jonas for making her feel his ‘presence’ on her birthday
Priyanka Chopra celebrated her 42nd birthday on July 18 in Australia while she was shooting for her upcoming film The Bluff. She was accompanied by her daughter Malti Marie. In a heartfelt note on Instagram, PC thanked her husband for making the day special even though he couldn’t be there.
“This year my birthday was at work. I’ve celebrated so many such occasions over the years and I’ve realised this is my favourite way to celebrate a birthday. Doing what I love on a film set. Thank you to my incredible husband who made his presence felt in such a special way even when he wasn’t there @nickjonas. Dosa truck for the crew,” Priyanka wrote.
