Currently, many Indian films are being released in the ongoing Cannes Film Festival 2025. Like him, many Hindi films got global recognition on international platforms. While some were displayed in global stages, many also made their debut in the award show abroad.
There are 5 films on OTT which were recognized globally:
1. Buckingham murders

Director Hansal Mehta took his suspense thriller film, The Buckingham Murders at the 67th BFI London Film Festival, where it had a world premiere in October 2023. After receiving positive response from the audience abroad, in September 2024, Karna Kapoor Khan led by Sandals, Sandals, and more.
2. Zvigo

Zwigato reaches deep into the life and struggles of a delivery agent. Starring by Nandita Das, the Drama film began at the Toronto International Film Festival, back in 2022. Under the leadership of actor-comedian Kapil Sharma, Shahna Goswami is also included in an important role in the film.
3. We all imagine as light
Where to see: Jio Hotstar
All news was highlighted in 2024 for all the right reasons as light as Payal Kapadia’s all V imagination. The film had a world premiere in the main competition of the 77th Cannes Film Festival last year. While it was nominated for Palme D’Or, the film won the Grand Prix on the prestigious global platform. In the international co-production, there are actors like Kani Kusuri, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam and Hiridhu Harun.
4. Mehta boys

Actor Boman Irani’s direction enterprise, Mehta Boys, not only had a world premiere at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival in September 2024, but also won the Best Feature Film Award. After appreciating the thunder from the audience, it finally made OTT its way this year.
5. Faraz
Where to see: Netflix
It was released in India in 2023 after Faraz’s premiere at the BFI London Film Festival in 2022. Hansal Mehta The directorial film has started actor Zahan Kapoor, who has joined Juhi Babbar, Aamir Ali, Aditya Rawal, Palak Lalwani and others.
