Neil Nitin in a biopic, his grandfather and famous musician, Mukesh to play
Neil Nitin Mukesh is ready to bring the life of his mythological grandfather, singer Mukesh on screen in a hearty biopic, which he is co-writing and construction. Collecting materials from family stories and rare archives, Neil is expected to portray Dada Mukesh in the biopic.

Following years of anticipation, actor-producer Neil Nitin Mukesh has officially confirmed a plan to bring the life of his famous grandfather, playback icon Mukesh Chand Mathur on the big screen. In an interview with News18The 38 -year -old actor revealed that he has been quietly developing the project for the last two years. He said that he is handling everything from scripting to research.
The actor shared, “My team, and I have been writing for a long time. Many people do not know that I am a professional writer and also a production house.”
Neil, who owns a production house and has also contributed to the script, said he has done extensive research for the film. He is undergoing the family archives – old photos, recording and personal items. He also mentioned that he sometimes sits with his father, Nitin Mukesh to listen to untold stories about his grandfather. The biopic will find out his grandfather’s inspirational journey, which will become one of the most beloved singers of Bollywood by being the son of a railway clerk.
“This is a story that I have been eager to tell since I was a child,” said Neil, who died in 1976. “There is a complete practice in the place – every time I sit with my father, I hear about the varieties about my grandfather, whatever we go through the archives of his memorbillia and photographs,” he said.
He said, “We have found a great bank of materials and materials. His life has been very beautiful. His story has a lovely arc. His journey is so inspiring that people need to see it,” he explained.
Unexpectedly, Neil is expected to play Mukesh himself. “I don’t think I can be better Mukesh than me. Neil Nitin Mukesh is Mukesh. I know him better than someone else. Father also wants me to play my grandfather for emotional reasons,” Neil said.
He said, “The business of cinema is very different. As actors, we seek opportunities, but we give them the basis of what others think about us. Your draw at the box office is important,” he said.
Along with a script in hand and potential colleagues on the board, Neil and his team are now looking for manufacturers and financiers.
