Nayanthara recently revealed that she got angry with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal when he shared screen space with him. In her conversation, the actress recalled her days working with Fazil for the film Vismayathumbathu.
The actress recalled that during the shooting, when Mohanlal tried to help Nayanthara, the veteran director was seen losing his patience with Nayanthara. Recalling her early days, the actress said, “There was a day when Fazil sir got angry with me, and he said, I really can’t tolerate this; You are not understanding.”
“First of all, I don’t think in Malayalam, and the language of cinema is different from the language we speak. Mohanlal sir kept telling me, Nayan, you have to create emotions from within. He kept saying that and I got very angry,” the actress said.
The actress revealed that, in the heat of the moment, she responded to the superstar saying, “Sir, I don’t even know what I’m doing. I don’t even know which dialogue I am speaking. You are telling me to stand on this mark, shed tears on this word, love that word. What emotion are you asking me to express? There is nothing inside me. There is nothing inside me. There is only fear inside me.”
The actress shared that after hearing her words and quick outbursts, Mohanlal just laughed and asked her to take a break.
Furthermore, the young actress also revealed how director Fazil wanted her to give a solid performance but he was angry with her. She said that after sitting in a corner for two hours, the experienced director came to her and said that he was confident that she would do well and that she could not fail. After this the director asked Nayanthara to take a break for the rest of the day and come back the next day.
The film in which Mohanlal and Nayanthara worked under the expertise of director Fazil was the 2004 Malayalam psychological thriller film Vismayathumbathu. The film features the superstar as a person with a sixth sense who can communicate with wandering spirits. The film was based on the French novel If Only It Were True.
