Nani congratulated Vijay for X and wrote, “Congratulations to actor Vijay sir. First doubted and then crowned. Happened at our house and now it’s happening at our neighbor house. Underdog winning is always complete cinema (or should I say complete politics?) 🙂 Hope good things happen for the people of Tamil Nadu who have made their decision clear.”
Nikhil Siddharth also posted in support of Vijay. He wrote, “Proud to see Thalapathi @actorvijay garu from our Indian cinema industry achieving a major milestone in Tamil Nadu politics & historic achievement #Jananayagan #TVK” (sic) by emerging as the single largest party.
Aju Varghese tweeted, “Historical example of fortune favoring the brave! @ActorVijay Sir #Respect #Change” (sic). Sharing a flag with Vijay’s face, Venkat Prabhu wrote, “The greatest of all time” and added a burning emoji.
Actor Sibi Sathyaraj also wished Vijay. In a tweet he wrote, “Blastu! Blastu!” In another post, roughly translated from Tamil, he said, “We will be fine, we will be fine, we will all be fine!”
According to early trends, TVK was ahead of its rivals, while the DMK-led alliance was ahead on just over 50 seats and the AIADMK block was ahead on over 70 seats. Vijay was also leading in key constituencies including Perumbur and Trichy East.
With TVK emerging strongly in the early stages of counting, congratulatory messages continued to pour in for Vijay, as film personalities reacted to his party’s early lead in Tamil Nadu.
