Mystery AI Model Nano Banana is going viral and everyone feels that Google is behind it
A mysterious new AI model called “Nano-Bana” is immersing users with its image-editing capabilities. Nobody knows who has made it, but the growing clue suggests that Google may soon reveal the truth at the pixel event tonight.
If you follow the AI buzz closely, you must have recently received a group of posts about something called “Nano-Banana”. We know, it sounds strange. Even the stranger is that news about this AI model appeared without explanation or any background. But many people are clearly using this mystery AI model and almost all of them look affected by it. But who made this model? We are not yet known, but a mark of speculation is indicating squares on Google.
The mysterious model surfaced on LMARENA, a benchmarking site where users see two AI models against each other in a pit that performs better. When “Nano-Banana” appeared in these battles, it quickly stood out. The examiners not only commented on their ability to generate extremely realistic images, but also made accurate editing when indicated.
Commercial insiderWhich managed to test the model, stated that it was “very good to indicate in life”, although like many of its rivals, it sometimes stumbles.
Despite its growing reputation, no company has moved forward to claim ownership. This did not prevent internet sleels from trying to solve mystery. Major theory? Google.
There are many reasons for this doubt. First, Google has a history of using “nano”, designed to run locally on the device to describe the small AI model. The choice of that naming is the argument of observers, indicating the origin of the model. Second, the company has been teasing some image throughout the month, online with a sudden appearance of Nano-Banana.
Earlier this week, fuel was added to speculation, when Logan Kilpatric, the head of Google’s product for AI Studio, posted anything other than a banana emoji on X, shortly after, Naina Rycenhani, a product manager of Google Deepmind, shared an image, which is famous for a wall to tap a cannon for a wall. There is artwork. While neither the post confirmed anything clearly, both were enough to convince many people that Nano-Bana is a Google project.
For now, Google has remained silent. The company did not respond to India’s request for comments for India today. But to host the pixel event tonight with Google, some believe that The Secret may be out soon.
