MWC25 Shanghai is scheduled to begin on 18 June, and the three -day program will run till 20 June 2025. The program will bring global innovators, policy makers and business leaders together to detect the next wave of digital change in Asia-Pacific. It will be held at Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) and Kerry Hotel Pudong. The MWC Shanghai event currently promises to showcase some of the most exciting technical trends in the industry, including robotaxis, AI-operated smartphones, humanoid robots and more.

Conducted by GSMA, MWC25 Shanghai is being billed as a decisive moment for the technical market of the region. “MWC25 Shanghai will find out how 5G, AI, and IOT are replacing industries and intelligent, intensifying a new era of development,” GSMA says.

The world’s largest 5G market with China is now expected to be exposed from how mobile connectivity is contributing not only to productivity, but also to permanent societies. According to GSMA, mobile tech is on track to add $ 2 trillion in China’s economy and around $ 11 trillion globally by 2030.

Robotaxis, drone and AI in MWC Shanghai

One of the major new features of this year is GSMA Innovation Frontier Zone. This section will consist of state -of -the -art innovation in robotics, immersive tech, autonomous mobility and AI. Visitors may expect Robotaxis and Pony. There will also be an air taxi like Autoflight’s Shenglong Evtol, which can be vertical and cruise like an aircraft.

Additionally, on-display honor will be AI-managed smartphones and smart devices. Humanoid robots and intelligent drones will also be a part of the exhibition of companies including Leju robotics, draidups, units, and ziyuan robotics.

Another new experience is the World Robot Competition qualifier, which will be held every day of the event. Often referred to as the “robotics world’s Olympics”, the purpose of the competition is to encourage young technical talent and support innovation in robotics.

MWC25 Shanghai will have the facility of future tech hall, which will showcase the technology emerging from Yangtzi River Delta and Greater Bay Area. Visitors can detect booths of companies such as Shanghai Spacesel, Unicom Air Net, Exfusion Digital Technologies and more. 4yfn zone – Small for four years from now – MWC also returns to Shanghai, which provides a platform for the most promising startups and innovators of Asia Pacific to join with global investors.

Another first Iote for the event is a collaboration with the major Iot Expo of Asia. This will add a dedicated section to tie-up IOT technology, which will cover everything from RFID and edge computing to visual IOT.

MWC25 Shanghai will also host the Asia Mobile Awards (AMOS) on June 19, which will be the day -2 of the program. Three new categories have been introduced this year: the best AI innovation in Asia, the best mobile innovation for climate action, and an award recognizing SME innovation.

The program also has some idea leadership programs including industry summit, including agentic AI, AI-Inaccurate Telcos, Smart Mobility, 5G Monetization and Stability. The GSMA Policy Leaders Forum will first be held in MWC Shanghai, which will bring global policy makers together to discuss the impact of AI, digital transformation and 6G of the road.

The GSMA Digital Leaders Program will also return to MWC Shanghai for the 7th year. This will focus on the impact of AI on the global digital ecosystem.
