The web series Muthu Angira Kattan is scheduled to release on the OTT platform JioHotstar and will start streaming on March 27, 2026. The show was initially announced at the JioHotstar South Unbound event.
The official update regarding the release date and trailer was shared by the team through the social media handles of the platform. Sharing the update, the team wrote, “Yaaru Intha Muthu Angira Kattan (Who is this Muthu aka Kattan)? Hotstar special Muthu Angira Kattan is streaming from March 27 only on JioHotstar. Produced by M. Manikandan and directed by M. Manikandan and B. Ajithkumar.”

Muthu Angira Kattan is the story of a mysterious man named Muthu, whose life is described through conflicting and fragmented narratives that portray him as a legend, a monster, or a miracle. The show explores his true story and explains why different people have different views about him.

Muthu Angira Kattan Stars vijay sethupathi and Milind Soman in the lead roles, with Sudev Nair, Vadivel Murugan, Risha Jacobs, VJ Parvathy, Kalaivani Bhaskar, Muthukumar and many others in prominent roles.
Produced by M. Manikandan of Kadaisi Vivasayi fame, the show is produced by him and B. Co-directed by Ajithkumar. The action drama has music composed by Premam and Padakkalam composer Rajesh Murugesan, while Madhu Neelakandan handles the cinematography.
Vijay Sethupathi’s work front
Vijay Sethupathi will next be seen in the lead role Slum Dog: 33 Temple Road. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the action film will star Samyuktha and Tabu in co-lead roles.
The actor has recently announced a project named pocket novel. The upcoming film, directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja, marks the second collaboration of the director and actor after Super Deluxe, and stars Malavika Mohanan and Raj B Shetty in the co-lead roles.
Apart from this, Vijay Sethupathi will also play a cameo role in Rajinikanth starrer Jailer 2. Additionally, he is a part of Silambarasan TR starrer Arasan, and has also confirmed that he will be headlining a project under Mani Ratnam, co-starring Sai Pallavi.
