Mushka Maranam: A Frankenbiting of Simon’s Memories is set in Neo Kochi in 2046, where people can choose to move out of grief through a medical process. In this post-brain-rot setting, where morality no longer earns social points or “credits”, personal memories are digitally extracted and disseminated, allowing individuals to relive someone else’s most intimate moments.
Meanwhile, Bimal, a grieving father, gets embroiled in a disturbing scandal after accessing illegally traded memory recordings belonging to superstar Freida Soman. The incident evolves into a broader investigation of voyeurism and technological excess.
With a cyberpunk tone, the film explores themes of socio-political voyeurism through a dark narrative. It presents a satirical outlook on contemporary society with a blend of science fiction and crime thriller.
