Motorola Razr Fold and Edge 70 Fusion FIFA Edition unveiled, we go side by side

Last month, Motorola announced its Razr 60 FIFA World Cup 26 Edition and today two more devices are joining it. The Motorola Razr Fold and Edge 70 Fusion FIFA Edition are now official, and we managed to spend some hands-on time with the pair following their introduction.

Both phones feature a similar design with a raised dot pattern back, which Motorola claims is inspired by the textures and materials of the game of football. They include a prominent 26-pattern depicting the World Cup 2026 and 24K gold plating for the Motorola Batwing and FIFA World Cup 26 logos.

The Razer Fold Edition has a black color with some dark gray elements, while the Edge 70 Fusion has a navy-blue color. As you’d expect from limited edition devices, both phones have World Cup-themed wallpapers, ringtones and come pre-installed with the FIFA World Cup app and FIFA Heroes game.

The Razer Fold features an 8.09-inch main LTPO OLED display (FHD+ 1-120Hz) and a 6.6-inch LTPO OLED cover screen (FHD+ 165Hz). It comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (non-Elite) with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, triple 50MP cameras, and a 6,000mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. For more on the Razer Fold, check out our new announcement post, which details its key features.

It’s a modern book-style foldable and feels solid in the hand. In terms of dimensions, the Razer Fold is 4.5mm thick when opened, 9.9mm when folded and weighs 243 grams. It’s not as thin or light as the recently announced Honor Magic V6 or Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7, but unless you have all three devices side by side, it’ll be hard to notice the difference.

As for the Edge 70, it has a quad-curve design, which helps it feel really slim. The phone feels great to hold in the hand and the patterned back gives a really good grip. In terms of specs, you get a large 6.78-inch OLED display (FHD+144Hz) and an impressive peak local brightness of 5,200 nits.

It is paired with a 50MP main camera with a LYTIA 710 sensor and a 13MP ultrawide lens. You also get Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Motorola also took an interesting approach in the battery department, offering two versions of the device – one with a 5,200mAh battery and one with a significantly larger 7,000mAh cell. The latter is slightly thicker (7.99 mm) and heavier at 193 grams. Regardless of capacity, both versions feature 68W wired charging.

The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion FIFA World Cup 26 Edition will be available to pre-order from today for €500/£440. Orders placed by March 31 are eligible for a complimentary bundle that includes Moto Buds Bass Wireless Earbuds and Moto Sound Flow Bluetooth Speaker.

The Motorola Razr Fold FIFA World Cup 26 Edition will retail for £2,200 and will be available soon. For reference, the regular version of the device will be available in Europe from April 13th at a starting price of €2,000.
