Introduction

Motorola’s Moto G series has long been the company’s favorite for affordable smartphones. The latest Moto G Power (2026) is now official, debuting in the US and Canada, with availability in additional markets likely to follow.

Motorola Moto G Power (2026) Review

The Moto G Power (2026) isn’t aiming for raw performance or an extraordinary camera setup. Instead, it places itself firmly in the budget segment. That said, it is a thoroughly modern smartphone, covering the essentials well for its target audience.

Some of the key features include 5G connectivity, excellent ruggedness (IP68/69 and MIL-STD-810H), a dedicated microSDXC memory expansion slot, and a genuine 3.5mm audio jack and stereo speakers.

Motorola Moto G Power (2026) specifications at a glance:

  • Body: 166.6×77.1×8.7 mm, 208 g; Glass front (Gorilla Glass 7i), silicone polymer (eco leather) back, plastic frame; IP68/IP69 dust-resistant and water-resistant (high-pressure water jets; submersible up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes), MIL-STD-810H compliant*.
  • Display: 6.80″ IPS LCD, 120 Hz, 1000 nits (HBM), 1080×2388 px resolution, 19.9:9 aspect ratio, 387 ppi.
  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 6300 (6 nm): Octa-core (2×2.4 GHz Cortex-A76 and 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55); Mali-G57 MC2.
  • Memory: 128GB 8GB RAM; UFS 2.2; microSDXC (dedicated slot).
  • OS/Software: Android 16.
  • rear camera: wide (main): 50 MP, f/1.8, 1/2.88″, 0.61μm, PDAF, OIS; ultra wide angle: 8 MP, f/2.2, 119-degree 13mm, 1.12µm, AF.
  • Front Camera: 32 MP, f/2.5, (wide).
  • video capture: rear camera:1080p@30/60fps; front camera:1080p@30fps.
  • Battery: 5200mAh; 30W wired, 15W wireless.
  • Connectivity: 5G; é SIM; Wi-Fi 5; BT; NFC; FM radio; 3.5 mm jack.
  • various: fingerprint reader (side-mounted); Stereo speakers (with Dolby Atmos).

The camera setup isn’t particularly impressive, but at least there are some highlights like autofocus on ultrawide. The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 also fails to impress. And the 5,200 mAh battery may be a decent size, but like last year’s model, the capacity is a little too modest for a phone with a power name.

On a more positive note, the Moto G Power (2026) is definitely worth a look. Our unit has a soft, almost rubbery finish that feels quite unique.

unbox

The Moto G Power (2026) comes in a very thin, two-piece cardboard box. The box is two-tone with glossy printing.

There is no plastic anywhere in the packaging, inside or out. The printing is also done in soy ink, so top marks for eco-friendly processes.

There isn’t much to talk about in terms of any support packages. The only thing inside the box with the phone is a basic, non-E-marked 3A USB Type-C to Type-C cable that’s wired for both power and data. That’s all – no charger, no case or anything else.
