Brooklyn Beckham has issued a detailed statement claiming that his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, attempted to control his life and damaged his relationship with his wife Nicola Peltz.

Brooklyn Beckham has issued a statement alleging that her parents, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, tried to control important aspects of her life and negatively impacted her marriage to Nicola Peltz. In the statement shared on social media, Brooklyn detailed the personal toll of the alleged family dynamics, expressing a desire for peace and privacy after a period of deep anxiety. The timing of the statement comes following ongoing media speculation about the family’s personal struggles and missed family goals.
In a six-page statement, the 26-year-old Brooklynite wrote: Her parents tried to control her life And damaged his marriage. “Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak up for myself and tell the truth about some of the lies that have been printed. I do not want to reconcile with my family. I am not being controlled, I am standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
He further added, “Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths they will go to to spread countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to save their facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.”
She alleged that her parents attempted to sabotage her wedding, claiming that her fashion designer mother pulled out of making Nicola’s dress at the last minute, despite Nicola being very excited to wear her dress, forcing her to immediately find an alternative.
Brooklyn also recalled a painful moment from her wedding day. She shared that singer Marc Anthony invited her on stage for her first dance with Nicola, but instead, her mother waited and danced with him. Brooklyn said the incident made her feel “uncomfortable and humiliated.” As a result, he and Nicola renewed their vows to replace memories with happiness in 2025.
Brooklyn further alleged that, just weeks before the wedding, her parents “repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing over the rights to my name,” though it is unclear what rights they were referring to. He said he refused to comply, a decision that “impacted payday”, adding that his parents never treated him the same way after that.
He concluded by sharing that he grew up struggling with severe anxiety. He wrote that since he distanced himself from his parents, the anxiety has disappeared, adding that he and Nicola now look forward to living a quiet life full of peace and privacy.
