L2’s roar after success: Empuraan, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is now ready for his upcoming film, Thadaram. Directed by Tharu Murthy, family-drama has been slated for a dramatic release on 25 April. On 7 April, Mohanlal faced X to unveil a brand-new poster and announce the release date of the film.

In the caption, Mohanlal said, “You have heard whispering. You have felt our arrival. It is time to run the house. Thudaram comes on 25 April (SIC).” In the poster, Mamuti is seen standing near a black ambassador car, wearing a gray checker shirt and a white Mundu,

Apart from Mohanlal, Thadaram includes Shobana, Farhan Fasil, Manianpila Raju, Binu Pappu, Irshad Ali, Arsha Chandni Buju, Thomas Matthew, Krishna Praba, Prakash Verma and Arvind. While, the screenplay is co-cum-written by Murthy and KR Sunil, the film is supported by M. Rainjith under the Resaputra Visual Media.

Mohanlal is currently seen in Blockbuster L2: Emperan, which is the co-act of Prithviraj Sukumaran. The high-octane action film is shattering the box office record and has emerged as the highest grossing Malayalam film of all time globally, which crosses the record held by the first Manjmel Boys (2024). It was released in theaters on 27 March.
