Mohanlal highlights the menace of drugs in Kerala at Chief Minister VD Satheesan’s felicitation ceremony.
Speaking at the felicitation ceremony of Kerala Chief Minister VD Satheesan, Mohanlal warned that drugs have reached the doorstep of children’s schools. He urged the government to act vigorously and said that it has the power to do so.
While attending the felicitation ceremony of newly elected Chief Minister VD Satheesan, actor Mohanlal expressed concern over the growing menace of drugs in Kerala and said the issue has reached the doorstep of children’s schools. He said that if the government fights it with strictness and determination then this menace can be eliminated.
Addressing a gathering in Paravur, Kerala later in the day, Mohanlal also extended support to the Chief Minister and his government. He talked about Satheesan’s honesty and transparency and said he hoped his ideas would help in the development of the state.

Mohanlal on drug menace in Kerala
Speaking at the event, Mohanlal said, “If we can help improve the roads that kill and the filth that destroys that land, we can do great things. It is also found around our school children. If the (state) government stands with unwavering determination and resolve, I am sure we can eradicate this drug menace. Addressing the gathering in Paravur, Mohanlal said, “This was perhaps the first time that we saw people in Kerala strongly supporting a person for the post of chief minister.”
He further said, “Honesty and transparency are two qualities evident in Satheesan sir. He is the lucky CM of a blessed state. Satheesan, who is a Nehruvian socialist, should also be a dreamer like Nehru. I hope his ideas will help in the development of the state.”
