Actor Mohanlal, along with director Sathyan Anthikad, reached Ernakulam Town Hall on Saturday afternoon to pay their last respects to veteran actor and filmmaker Sreenivasan, whose mortal remains was kept there for the public to pay their respects. Visuals of an emotional Mohanlal crying inside the hall have gone viral, reflecting the deep personal loss he felt in the Malayalam film industry.

Srinivasan, who died at the age of 69 after a prolonged illness, died at a hospital in Kochi, where he was undergoing treatment. A legendary personality in Malayalam cinema, he was widely acclaimed as an actor, screenwriter and filmmaker whose work left a lasting cultural impact. His demise sparked a wave of mourning among colleagues, fans and prominent personalities from the film fraternity.
