Mohanlal and director Jethu Joseph announced their reunion for the third installment of the Drisum Franchise. While the production details were not clear, it seems that superstars and directors will start filming in September 2025.
According to a cinema report for you, the actor and director are likely to postpone the shooting of Ram once again, Ram’s shooting, Ram. With cleansing dates, there is a possibility of starting filming for Drishyam 3 instead of the pair.
While much information about the film is not clear, an official confirmation of its production has not been confirmed yet.
For unknown people, the Drisum was the 2013 crime thriller directed by Jetu Joseph. The film tells the story of Georgakutty, who is a family person who lives with his wife and two children.
In a striking turn of events, with his family, the man, Varun comes under suspicion in Prabhakar’s missing case. The rest of the film focuses on how Georgcutty manages to escape the police and protect his family from all damage.
In 2021, the film received a sequel, titled the second installment received widespread praise after directly released on Amazon Prime Video.
Over the years, both films have been remake in other languages, with Ajay Devgan with the Bollywood remake.
Interestingly, the Bollywood superstar is also ready to hit the big screen with the third installment of the Drisum Franchise. In a special report by Pinkvilla, we learned that the actor would re -join Abhishek Pathak for the sequel and start shooting by August 2025.
Coming to Mohanlal’s work front, the superstar was last seen in a leading role in the Thruun Murthy Directorate Thudram. The crime drama movie had a story of a father, who takes revenge on the powerful men responsible for the death of his son.
Moving forward, the actor will be seen next time at the Feel-Gud Venture Hridipoorvam, which was directed by Sustainable Anthikad as a co-Leide with Malavika Mohanan. In addition, he has films like Taurus and MMMN in his lineup.
