The company said in a filing to the exchanges that the PA-P license will provide the company with the right foundation for consistent, long-term business compounding, strengthening its ability to build a consistent, secure and scalable payment acceptance infrastructure for offline commerce in partnership with banks.
The group also acquired a Payment Aggregator – Online (PA-O) license through its subsidiary Zaakpay about a year ago, strengthening its omnichannel merchant payment capabilities in both online and offline commerce.
The approval marks an important milestone in the evolution of MobiKwik as a full-stack fintech platform serving consumers and merchants through payments and financial services, a company statement said.
MobiKwik supports a network of 4.9 million merchants with offerings like UPI QR, Soundbox and EDC machines. The company has identified small businesses, oil and gas outlets and organized retail as its three strategic focus segments over the next 18-24 months, with ambitions to materially expand its market share in each.
Commenting on the development, Co-Founder, MD & CEO Bipin Preet Singh said offline merchant payments are emerging as the strongest growth driver in India’s digital economy, especially in under-penetrated markets outside urban India. This PA-P approval strengthens the company’s ability to scale merchant payment infrastructure across the country and sets MobiKwik for 10X growth in merchant business by FY28.
“We are grateful for RBI’s approval and confidence in us. We are focused on building secure, scalable and technology-driven solutions that help merchants participate more effectively in India’s growing digital economy,” said Singh.
One MobiKwik Systems on Tuesday reported Q4 FY26 revenue of Rs. 4.38 crore, as against Rs. 56 crore as against a net loss of Rs.
The company’s income from operations is Rs. 289 crore, which was Rs. 268 crore, up 8%, the company said in a regulatory filing today.
EBITDA for the March quarter was Rs. 10 crore, compared to Rs. 56.5 crore was an EBITDA loss.
