Moana 2 New Trailer: What Happens When a Disney Princess Heads to an Ancient Island Cursed by an Angry God? Watch

Disney released a brand new trailer for Moana 2, showing the princess heading off on another adventure, but this one is “bigger” than ever before. How far will Moana go this time? After fighting the lava monster in the previous film, the fearless princess is headed to an ancient island cursed by an angry “power-hungry” god.

A voice echoes from the cursed island, “A human can never break my curse.” But this does not break Moana’s spirits as she has Maui, the goddess of the wind and sea, and her island “crew”. The trailer begins with Moana adjusting the sails of her boat and heading towards her home island, where she is welcomed by her younger sister.

She brings with her a broken vessel with a carving resembling an island. Then, a voiceover explains that it was an ancient cursed island whose curse, if broken, could “bring its people together again.” However, for this to happen, one would have to set foot on the sand of the island, which seems impossible.

Moana vows to break the curse and bring harmony to the people, but her time, her fight, is “bigger than that of the ancients” and the fate of the entire ocean depends on it. What’s different about the sequel to the 2016 hit film is that it features an adult version of the titular heroine and also brings her younger sister, Simia, into the picture.

But what doesn’t change are the themes of family, community and togetherness. Additionally, the trailer also featured several fun interactions between Moana and Maui, which was one of the highlights of the previous film. The official synopsis reads, “After receiving an unexpected call from an ancestor looking for her, Moana travels to the remote seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters on an adventure she has never encountered before. Have done.”

David G. Directed by Derrick Jr., Jason H. and Dana LeDoux Miller, the film brings back Dwayne Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho as Maui and Moana, respectively. Rachel House, Temuera Morrison and other artists.

Moana 2 will be released in theaters on November 27.
