Metropolis Q1 Results: Net profit up 31% to Rs. 38 crores

Metropolis Healthcare on Saturday reported a 31.3% year-on-year (YoY) rise in net profit to Rs 38.1 crore in Q1FY25 on the back of increased volume and better patient experience.

In the same quarter of the previous year, the diagnostic chain had posted Rs. 29 crores was reported as net profit.

Income from operations rose 13.1% YoY to Rs. 313.4 crores.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) before CSR and ESOP rose 20.2% YoY in Q1 to Rs. 80.5 crores. EBITDA margin was 25% in Q1FY25.

Growth in patient volume and test volume for the quarter was 7% and 10%, respectively. Revenue per patient increased by 6%.

“Our TrueHealth (wellness and bundling) segment grew by 28% this quarter, which helped us move customers further up the value chain, resulting in increased revenue per patient,” said Amira Shah, executive chairperson and whole-time director. , Metropolis Healthcare.

“We are confident that network expansion, growing people and changing test mix will continue to help us achieve our desired growth,” Shah added.

Metropolitan has a network of 204 labs, 4216 collection centers and over 10,000 touch points.
