Director Anurag Basu’s slic-off-life musical ‘Metro … in Dino’ recently made her digital debut on Netflix. The romantic-drama was released on the streaming platform on 29 August 2025.

Sharing the film’s poster on his Instagram handle, Netflix India captioned, “This metro platform is on the outpost. Abini love story, you have (This metro has now reached the stage. Their love story is now yours)! Now see ‘Metro’ outside Netflix. ,

Pritam, who composed music for ‘Life … in a metro’ (2007), is also credited with the score of his spiritual sequel, ‘Metro … in dino’. ‘Life … in a metro’ was depicted in Dharmendra, Nafisa Ali, Shilpa Shetty, Kai Ke Menon, Shine Ahuja, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, Sharman Joshi and an artists of Pivotal characters of late Irrfan Khan.

Similar to the 2007 release, the latter is also an anthology based on human complications and relationships. Actor Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal play important roles. The film is the first release since Basu’s 2020 Black Crime-comedy ‘Ludo’. The film also included Tripathi, Kapoor, Sheikh, as well as act Rajkumar Rao, Sanya Malhotra, Abhishek Bachchan and others in important roles.

India today, in its review for ‘Metro … In Dino’, wrote, “The Music, by Pretum Chakraborty, deserves his moment. It does not decorate the film, it defines it. Without it, without it, Anthology will not be what it is not-a live-in, melodic experience. KK, whose songs have served the 2007 film.”

‘Metro … In Dino’ is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar, Tani Basu and Vipin Agnihotri. The film was released on August 29, 2025.
