Menaka Irani, mother of filmmakers Farah Khan and Sajid Khan, passed away on July 26. Irani, who was reportedly suffering from a prolonged illness, was 79. Several Bollywood celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Rani Mukerji, paid their last respects to Farah and Sajid’s late mother.
Shah Rukh, who shares a close bond with Farah, visited her home with his family in the evening to offer his condolences to the family.

In a video posted on Instagram, Shah Rukh Khan can be seen coming out of Farah Khan’s house. Shah Rukh was protected by security personnel as he reached his car. Before getting into the car, Shah Rukh blew a flying kiss and waved for a moment.
The clip also shows his wife Gauri Khan stepping out, followed by their daughter Suhana Khan. We can also see Shah Rukh’s manager Pooja Dadlani stepping out of the building.
Farah Khan joined the Khan family to offer condolences to their late mother.

Farah Khan wrote a special post on her mother Maneka Irani’s birthday
This shocking news comes after Farah Khan and Sajid Khan’s mother Menaka Irani celebrated her 79th birthday on July 12. Farah shared several pictures of herself and her mother on Instagram and wrote an emotional note for her.
In her post, the choreographer-director said that she loves her mother very much and called her the “strongest and bravest” person she has ever seen. She further wrote that her mother’s sense of humour is intact even after multiple surgeries.
Menaka, who had a brief career in acting, appeared in the 1963 film Bachpan. The former actress was the sister of famous child actors Daisy Irani and Honey Irani.

Shah Rukh Khan has worked with Farah Khan in films like Om Shanti Om, Main Hoon Na and Happy New Year. Shah Rukh and Farah have also worked together in films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Dil Toh Pagal Hai, in which she has worked as a choreographer.
