Zeenat Aman, one of the highest paid actresses of her time, got her breakthrough role in Dev Anand’s Hare Rama Hare Krishna. In the 1970s, Aman rose to fame with films like Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Dharamveer, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, The Great Gambler, Don and others.

In an Instagram post on September 23, Zeenat Aman shared an anecdote from shooting on the sets of Hare Rama Hare Krishna. Aman revealed that she used to smoke pipe and was “high as a kite”.

“I later learned that when my mother found out what had happened she was furious, and she sternly reprimanded the senior crew members for allowing her precious child to do “drugs”! Fortunately. , I escaped their wrath,” read an excerpt from her post.

Late veteran superstar Dev Anand had a crush on his co-star Zeenat Aman. In his autobiography titled Romancing with Life, Dev Anand had admitted that he was in love with her. The Guide actor also claimed that her relationship with Indian cinema’s greatest showman Raj Kapoor was more than director-actor, which left her heartbroken.

Responding to his confession on Instagram in April 2023, Zeenat Aman said she felt humiliated and hurt. The 72-year-old actress called Dev Anand a “huge guru” and said she “admired and loved him a lot”.

Zeenat Aman once revealed that she almost packed her luggage on the film sets after her co-star Amitabh Bachchan arrived late. In October last year, Aman revealed that the film’s director had lashed out at her for delaying production and the actress had asked her team to wrap up the work. Later Big B apologized to him on the set.

Zeenat entered Miss India in 1970 and emerged as the second runner-up in the competition. She later competed in Miss Asia Pacific International in which she was crowned the winner in the same year.
