Meet actor Fahadh Faasil
Actor Fahadh Faasil, born as Abdul Hameed Mohammed Fahadh Faasil, is the son of popular Indian film director and producer Faasil. At the young age of 20, she decided to step into acting with her father’s romantic film Kaithum Doorath (2002). However, the film was not successful in entertaining the audience.
Hence, Fahadh decided to take a gap of seven years. During this time, he moved to America to hone his skills and complete his education. In 2009, he made a comeback with the Malayalam-language anthology film Kerala Cafe, starring several veterans. This was a turning point in his career, making him a household name. From here, there was no stopping.
This was followed by films like Chappa Kurishu, Akam, 22 Female Kottayam, Diamond Necklace, Annayam Rasoolam, North 24 Kaatham and Bangalore Days, all of which won him numerous accolades. With the mega blockbuster crime-drama film Thondimuthalam Drikasakshiyam (2017), he won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor.
Till now, Fahadh has shared the screen with many biggies, including Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, Allu Arjun, Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Nayanthara, Sivakarthikeyan, Vadivelu and many others. Currently, the audience is eager to see him play the villain in Mammootty and Mohanlal’s Patriot. During a recent event, Fahadh revealed that the sequel to his 2024 action-comedy film, Awesham is in the works. In Awesh 2, he is expected to reprise his role of Ranga, the gangster who wreaks havoc in Bengaluru.
From losing hope after the failure of his first film to being counted among the finest actors of Indian cinema, Fahadh Faasil’s journey in the industry inspires many.
