Marathi film and theater actor Tushar Gadigonkar was found dead in his rented flat in Goregaon West, Mumbai on Friday. The 34 -year -old actor is believed to have died of suicide. Goregaon police have registered a case of accidental death and are further investigating.
According to officials, the control room received a call while reporting an unconscious person at a residence on Ram Mandir Road. When the officials reached the spot, Gadigonkar was found to be unconscious on the floor. He was rushed to Trauma Care Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Preliminary findings suggest that Gadigonkar was under severe stress, allegedly stems from lack of work in the entertainment industry. Police said that there was no suspicion of any dishonesty game. Statements of family members have been recorded, and no complaint has been filed against anyone.
