Manju Warrier criticizes 2017 sexual assault verdict, says justice still incomplete
Referring to the Kerala actor attack case, Manju Warrier said that those who committed the crime were punished but the mind that planned the act went free. Manju is the ex-wife of acquitted accused actor Dilip.

Dileep’s ex-wife, actress Manju Warrier, highlighted the verdict in the 2017 actor sexual harassment case in a statement posted on Instagram on Sunday. She declared that justice for the victim was “incomplete”, adding that “the person responsible for the mind that planned and enabled this heinous act, whoever it is, is still at large, and that’s terrible.”
Manju Warrier’s note on Instagram reads, “I have the utmost respect for the Honorable Court. But in this case, justice for the victim is still incomplete. Only those who committed the crime have been punished. The mind that planned and enabled this heinous act, whoever it is, is still at large, and that’s scary. Justice will only be served when all those behind this crime are held accountable. This is just one survivor’s story.” It is for every girl, every woman, every human being who deserves to walk with her head held high without any fear.” At their workplaces, on the streets and in life, then, now and always.
Here is the statement:
Soon after the verdict in the 2017 actor sexual harassment case, Dileep spoke to the media, attacking the police. He specifically accused law enforcement of conspiring to frame him in the case. The actor claimed that his ex-wife Manju Warrier had hatched a complete conspiracy against him through her public statements.
It is noteworthy that two days after the incident in Kerala in February 2017, a solidarity meeting was organized at the Durbar Hall grounds in Kochi. Manju Warrier was the first to give a statement during the program, “There is clearly a criminal conspiracy behind this crime.”
The important thing is that he did not take the name of any specific person at that time. Other prominent personalities from the film industry including Mohanlal, Mammootty and Dileep were also present in the meeting.
