Manisha Koirala, who has been entertaining the audience with her charm, beauty and acting skills, made a comeback on screen with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Recently, she recalled the phase in her career when she was bored with the acting profession, but Dimple Kapadia told her to enjoy the art and Koirala felt that the veteran actress did not understand her point of view.
In a candid conversation with ANI, Manisha Koirala recalled the phase in her career when she couldn’t get excited by the prospect of work and was bored with her profession. As a result, he expressed his feelings to Dimple Kapadia who was shooting a film with him. But, there was something that the Bobby actress could not have anticipated.
Koirala shared, “I told him, ‘I’m bored of acting.’ And she said, ‘You better enjoy it because it won’t last forever.’ And she gave me great advice. But, at that time, I was like, ‘What is she saying?’ Can’t she understand that I’m bored?’ My internal conversation was different.
However over the years, Dil Se understood the meaning and intention of the Sagar actress’ ‘good advice’ because she could relate to it. However, she recalled it saying that this statement was during a period in her life when she was working multiple shifts a day in different films and was feeling overwhelmed.
Manisha told that her day started with 2-3 hours of make-up and working in three shifts in different films. Unlike today, he did not get any leave on weekends or other days. Gradually due to fatigue he started losing interest in his profession.
