Fashion designer Manish Malhotra is set to make her debut as a filmmaker with the upcoming romantic drama ‘Gustakh Ishaq’. The film stars Vijay Verma, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Naseeruddin Shah and a notable actors including Sharib Hashmi. It is scheduled for a dramatic release in this November.

Malhotra shared his lifetime passion for cinema as an inspiration behind this new venture. In an Instagram post on Monday, the designer said, “Since childhood, I live with a deep Ishq (Love) for cinema. The magic of stories, brightness of large screen and long -lived feelings after credit rolls. ,

He then announced his first film saying, “That Love has shaped who I am. Today, it gives me the greatest pleasure to make a dream come true. In this November, my first film as a producer, ‘Gustakh Ishq – Kuch Pehal -like’ will be released in cinemas.”

On August 25, the 58 -year -old shared further anticipation by sharing his plans to unveil the first glimpse of the film. He said, “On this Monday, I will share with you the first glimpse in the poetic world of ‘Gustakh Ishaq’.”

“This journey is particularly, personal and really from the heart. It has always been mine Ishq Since childhood with films, “Malhotra concluded.

Originally titled ‘Ul-Jamul Ishaq’, the film recently made a title change.

Earlier this year, there were reports that designers could direct the much awaited biopic of mythological actor Meena Kumari. However, he denied the news, speaking at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. Malhotra indicated to direct “something else soon”. “I am impressed by Yash ji (Yash Chopra) and want to direct romance one day,” he said.

Now, all eyes are for the release of the first glimpse of ‘Gustakh Ishq’ on 25 August (Monday).
