Manish Malhotra’s Ban Tikki, Sal Mohabbat was selected for the Chicago Film Festival
Manish Malhotra’s ‘Ban Tikki’ and ‘Sal Mohabbat’ have been selected for the Chicago South Asian Film Festival 2025. The fashion icon-producer celebrated a milestone on social media.

Manish Malhotra’s upcoming productions ‘Ban Tikki’ and ‘Sauli Mohabbat’ have officially selected the 16th Chicago South Asian Film Festival (CSAFF) 2025. Malhotra shared the news on social media as he unveiled the film’s posters.
Malhotra wrote on Instagram, “This is a proud moment for us on @FecialjiStudios in collaboration with @stage 5production that our next two films are showing in both @csafestralal.”
Sali Mohabbat to open the festival
Under his direction directed by actor Tisca Chopra, ‘Sali Mohabbat’ has been selected as an opening night film in CSAFF 2025. A hard-touching drama set against the backdrop of domestic violence and emotional betrayal, the film discovered a woman’s struggle to resume the voice of the banging birds of rural and urban India.
Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Dinesh Malhotra, and Manish Malhotra, the actors of the film include Radhika Apte, Divyendu, Sharat Saxena, Ansuman Pushkar, Solar Maitra, and Anurag Kashyap.
Tikki to screen at Chicago Film Festival
Malhotra’s second offer, ‘Ban Tikki’, is a story of a soul -coming age that delays the subjects of family, love and personal identity. Directed by Faraz Arif Ansari, with the film’s experienced actors Shabana Azmi and Zeenat Aman, Abhay Deol, Nusharat Bharucha and newcomer Rohan Singh.
The film is also produced by Deshpande, Malhotra and Marijke Desuza, its world premiere in the Palm Springs Festival 2025.
Apart from ‘Sali Mohabbat’ and ‘Ban Tikki’, Manish Malhotra is also producing ‘Gustakh Ishak – Kuch Pehle Jasa’. Vijay Verma-Fatima Sana Sheikh-Starrer made his debut as a filmmaker. It has been slated to hit theaters in November this year.
