Anirudh Ravichander continues his tradition by sharing the exciting news about the first single from Rajinikanth’s film Vettaiyaan. In a recent update on X (formerly Twitter), the talented composer revealed that the first single from the film will be released soon.
The music director wrote, “Manasilayo. Vettaiyaan song coming soon. Hunter Vanthaar.” For those who don’t know, the word “Manasilayo” is a Malayalam word meaning “Did you understand?” which was used as a catchphrase in the film Jailer.

Anirudh often posts a special tweet on most of his singles before their release. Earlier, the music director had done the same by announcing Devra’s first single, Fear Song. Interestingly, a leaked video from the sets of Vettaiyaan had earlier surfaced on X in which Anirudh also appeared.
The leaked video also shows a Malayalam style song, which makes sense since some of the film was shot in Kerala as well. The first single from Vettaiyaan is set to release soon, so this definitely raises expectations for the film.
This upcoming film of Anirudh and Rajinikanth is their fourth film after films like Petta, Darbar and Jailer. The makers recently announced that the film will release on October 10, 2024 and will clash with Surya’s much-awaited fantasy film Kanguva. Vettaiyaan starring Rajinikanth is touted to be a police action film in which the superstar will try to unravel a deep mystery.
Apart from him, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Fasil, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan and Ritika Singh in lead roles. Apart from this, the actor is also currently shooting for the film Coolie with director Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Apart from this, the actor will also be seen in the film Jailer 2, which is his second collaboration with Nelson Dilipkumar. Talking about Anirudh’s professional front, the composer was last seen composing tracks and score for Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 this year.
Apart from Vettaiyan, the composer is also involved in the music works of films like Coolie, Devara, Ajith Kumar’s Vidamuyarchy, Vijay Deverakonda’s VD12 and Sivakarthikeyan starrer SK23.
