Megastar Mammootty is celebrating his 73rd birthday on September 7, 2024, which has been flooded with wishes and wishes from fans all over. Now, his son Dulquer Salmaan has taken to his Instagram handle to express his deep love for his father and the GOAT-like actor.
In an Instagram post, DQ shared a rare photo with his father and said, “Recently I’ve realized that best friends never have any pictures together. Because the moments spent with them are too precious and fun to even think about wasting time posing or taking selfies.”
The actor further revealed that it has become a tradition for him to take pictures on every birthday. However, he also revealed that none of his phones ever have pictures of just the two of them and added, “But now I understand and I love why. Happy birthday to my best friend, my hero, my father!!”

As the megastar turns 73 this year, several celebrities including Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manju Warrier among others have extended their warm wishes to the actor. Moreover, this happy occasion has brought a treat for fans as the actor has announced the title of his next film.
Financed by his own production company, Mammootty is set to appear in a mystery thriller titled Dominic and the Ladies Purse. The film marks the Malayalam debut of Gautham Vasudev Menon and features the megastar as a humorous detective similar to Sherlock Holmes.
The first poster of the film itself unravels the mystery as it features a board with pictures of women. Apart from this, several silhouette posters of Sherlock are also adorned on the same wall. In the poster, the actor is seen walking in his room wearing a bathrobe holding a clutch purse used by women and a cat is walking behind him.

Apart from this, the actor will next be seen in the film Bazooka directed by Dino Denis. The film is expected to be a stylish action film which also stars Gautham Menon in a key role.
