Malayalam actor Honey Rose has filed a police complaint against businessman Bobby Chemmanur, accusing him of making sexually inappropriate comments. The actress vowed to take legal action against him and his associates, emphasizing her faith in India’s judicial system.
Popular Malayalam actor Honey Rose has filed a formal complaint against businessman Bobby Chemmanur accusing him of making sexually inappropriate comments. The complaint lodged at Ernakulam Central Police Station on January 7 claims that the businessman repeatedly made objectionable comments towards the actor.
In a social media post confirming the allegations, Honey Rose vowed to take legal action against Chemmanur and his associates, saying, “There will soon be complaints against your associates too, who share your mental condition. You can believe in the power of your money, but I believe in the strength of India’s judicial system.”
The actor had previously shared his experience on January 5, addressing a separate incident that involved a persistent man making double-meaning comments and following him to events. She said that although she usually ignores such complaints, the nature of the insult warranted a response in this particular case. Honey Rose reported that this man was attending functions she had been invited to and making derogatory comments about her in public, specifically targeting her womanhood.
The social media post received many derogatory comments, leading Honey Rose to file a police complaint. Ernakulam Central Police has already registered cases against 30 persons involved in posting objectionable comments under the actor’s social media posts. On January 6, a man named Shaji of Kumbalam was arrested in connection with the case. Screenshots of the derogatory comments have been presented as evidence.
