Actress Malaika Arora was spotted with her mother Joyce Polycarp and son Arhaan leaving her parent’s home to the crematorium for the last rites of her father Anil Mehta.

Malaika and Amrita’s father Anil Kuldeep Mehta died after allegedly jumping from a building in Mumbai on September 11. Police officials are treating it as a case of suicide.

On September 12, Malaika was spotted leaving her home for the funeral along with her family, including her mother Joyce Polycarp and son Arhaan.

Apart from this, Arjun Kapoor also reached the crematorium for the last rites.

As soon as the news spread, Malaika’s friends reached her father’s house and consoled him. It is said that Malaika was in Pune at the time of her father’s death and came back to Mumbai.

Within hours of the death of Anil Kuldeep Mehta, Malaika shared a statement and requested confidentiality.

The statement said, “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved father Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is deeply shocked by this loss, and we request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect.”

When Anil allegedly jumped from the building, his wife Joyce Polycarp was in their flat at Ayesha Manor in Bandra. A post-mortem is being conducted at Bhabha Hospital to ascertain the cause of death.
