While Samsung hasn’t officially sent them out yet, Galaxy Unpacked 2026 invites leaked earlier today and revealed that the big event is taking place on February 25. Like last year, there will be three models: vanilla, plus and ultra. The renders and some key details of these three have been leaking for some time and they have been leaked once again. Here we’ll take a look at the first two, while the Ultra will be discussed in a separate article.
Firstly, only one set of renders was supplied for the Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26+ as the only difference between them is their size. The table below contains the unofficial measurements, as well as the measurements of their predecessors.
| Galaxy S25 | Galaxy S26 | Galaxy S25+ | Galaxy S26+ | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.2″ | 6.3″ | 6.7″ | 6.7″ |
| Height | 146.9 mm | 149.6 mm | 158.4 mm | 158.4 mm |
| Width | 70.5mm | 71.7 mm | 75.8 mm | 75.8 mm |
| thickness | 7.2mm | 7.2mm | 7.3mm | 7.3mm |
| weight | 162 grams | 137 grams | 190 grams | 190 grams |
| Battery | 4,000mAh | 4,300mAh | 4,900mAh | 4,900mAh |
The dimensions of the Galaxy S26+ are similar to the first decimal, while the vanilla S26 will be significantly lighter than the older model, even though it will have the same thickness.
Additionally, the Galaxy S26 will get a slight bump in screen size to 6.3″, which makes the chassis taller and slightly wider. The Plus model misses out on the display upgrade, so it will use almost the same 6.7″ panel (though it will reportedly have a new protective glass).
It’s likely that the vanilla model will be upgraded to 45W charging to match the S26+ (while the S26 Ultra will go up to 60W to stand out). And it should also have a bigger battery as mentioned in the table (+300mAh).
All S26 models will adopt magnetic Qi2 and satellite communications. The vanilla model should also feature UWB, which has been missing for years (which is important if you use tracking tags).
Samsung Galaxy S26 (speculative render)
While the renders only show a black phone, the Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26+ should also come in three other colors: white, purple, and blue.
The Galaxy S26+ (and S26 Ultra) were recently spotted running on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset on Geekbench, though there’s still some uncertainty about which regions will get the Exynos 2600 instead. Note that the vanilla model is finally getting 256GB as base storage – an upgrade that may prove quite costly.
