Ashwin Kumar, while riding a high ride on the success of Mahavatar Narasimha, is set to start his next film Mahavatar Parasuram in November. The film promises a new, bold retailing of mythology, which is part of the expansion of the Mahavatar cinematic universe.

Filmmaker Ashwin Kumar, who recently tasted the success of the box office with ‘Mahavatar Narasimha’, is ready to go on his ambitious cinematic journey with ‘Mahavatar Parashuram’, which is expected to go on the floor in November. In a special chat with India today, the director revealed that the project is already in pre-production and throws light on his upcoming films including the ‘Mahavatar’ universe.

‘Mahavatar Parashuram’ will be the second film of the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe to go on the floor. Kumar called the project a bold remagins of mythology. “It is already in pre-production and will give the audience an experience that he has never seen on screen before. Parashuram is the real fountain of anti-hero-someone is standing to set the system correct when wrong. It’s a very powerful story, and we target the floor within the next three months, mostly until November.”

Speaking about the belief that ‘Mahavatar Narasimha’s success has brought him, Kumar said, “This definitely enhances my confidence because when you see so much love from people, it seems to you that you should do this kind of things. Pressure only if I do not know what I am doing – but I already know the next seven films, so it is very clear in my prominent”

The filmmaker explained the process behind his work, remembering how it took a year to make the climax of the film of ‘Mahavatar Narasimha’: “My film has been produced about a year throughout the 20-25 minutes. When you put it at that time, you realize that movies are like a cake. Yes, we are going to say, yes, we are going to ‘.”

While most of his upcoming slats are vested in animation, Kumar confirmed that not all projects would follow the same route. “Not all of these films will be animated. Mahavatar Cinematic Universe will be mostly animated, but I am also planning two live -action films – a horror project, and the other is based on the concept of Ardhanarishwara,” he revealed.

‘Mahavatar Narasimha’ crossed Rs 200 crore globally and is a blockbuster.
