According to its director, the upcoming animated film, Mahavatar Narasimha, is set to revolutionize the Indian animation industry. The film is based on stories from three ancient texts, the Puranas, and aims to bring a new approach to animation storytelling.

In a recent statement, the director expressed confidence that ‘Mahavatar Narasimha’ will set new standards in terms of animation quality and narrative style.

“We wanted to change this perception and make a film for all audiences. Through Mahavatar Narasimha, we have proved that Indian VFX and animation can meet global standards,” said director Ashwin Kumar.

He also stressed that the project has been carefully researched to ensure authenticity and respect for the source material. He said, “This is not just an animation film; it is a labor of love and a tribute to our cultural heritage. We aim to present these stories not as myths, but as part of our collective history and consciousness.” Stay true to the original sources.”

The film depicts the battle between the demon king Hiranyakashipu, who seeks vengeance on Lord Vishnu, and his devout son Prahlad, whose unwavering faith inspires Vishnu to take the form of Narasimha. The film took over four years to make, with vibrant animation and great attention to detail, raising the bar for Indian animated films.

The first-look motion poster of the film, unveiled on November 16, gave a glimpse of its furious, high-octane mythological action. The film is produced by Shilpa Dhawan, Kushal Desai and Chaitanya Desai under the banner of Claim Productions and Hombale Films.

The release date of Mahavatar Narasimha has not been announced yet.
