Rajkummar Rao, who was last seen in the Bhool Chuk, is ready to roar on a big screen with his upcoming film, Malik. Directed by Pulkit, the action thriller cum-conferred Manashi Chhilar is scheduled to release on 11 July 2025. Next to its inauguration, Malik has sold 6.5K tickets in his final advance booking.
Maalik sells 6,500 advance tickets in final pre -sales
The manufacturers of MAALIK opened their advance booking on Wednesday afternoon. Rajkummar Rao starrer has sold 6,500 tickets in the final advance booking in the top three national series- PVR Inox and Cinepolis alone for the early day.
Until Thursday, 5:30 pm, Malik sold around 4,000 tickets in East-Billi. The final advance booking was expected to end in the 10,000 tickets limit for 12,000 tickets for its release day. However, the speed never increased.
It is worth noting that the original has received lukewarm response in advance booking. Rajkumar’s last release, Bhoomi Chuk Maaf sold 30,000 tickets in the final advance booking in the top national series for the early day.
Fundamental to start less tomorrow
Due to the trend of advance advance booking, Maalik is likely to open on a low note at the box office on Friday. Its early day is expected to gather within the range of Rs 1.5 crore to Rs 2.5 crore. The fate of gangster action led by Rajkummar Rao will depend on his word of the mouth.
Supported by Kumar Tuprani and J. Shewakamani jointly, Malik will collide at the box office with two upcoming films, Ankhon’s Gustakhyayan and Superman. This will also run parallel to holdover release like Dino, Jurassic World: Ribratha, and F1: The Movie.
In Maalik, Rajkummar Rao plays the tissue role of a gangster. Manushi Chillar is put as his wife Vidya. It also includes actors like Saurabh Shukla, Posonjit Chatterjee, Huma Qureshi, and Anshuman Pushkar.
