The makers of Lucky Baskar hosted a paid preview today, a day ahead of its full release. The response to the preview shows has been overwhelming. According to initial estimates, it has earned more than Rs 1 crore from today’s premiere, which is a very good sign. The film was already registering good sales, and now, due to the positive response from the paid previews, sales will see an immediate increase.
Since Lucky Baskar is a Telugu film starring a Malayali actor in the lead role, pre-sales are going well in Andhra Pradesh, while Kerala is seeing good momentum. The film will definitely have an impressive opening at the box office, with a major portion coming from the APTS belt.
Lucky Baskar hopes to emerge a successful venture this Diwali; Will face other releases
Lucky Bashkar is gearing up for a successful Diwali performance at the box office. The film will enjoy a four-day extended opening weekend with previews on Wednesday. However, one won’t enjoy a free ride at the ticket window. The film is expected to share the screen at APTS with Kiran Abbavaram’s small budget film KA, which is riding high with positive initial buzz. Moreover, Jr NTR’s Devara Part 1 is still running on low screen count in Telugu.
Lucky Baskar will clash with Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran in Tamil Nadu, which has registered excellent pre-sales. The film is also releasing in the Hindi belt with limited screen count, where at least in the opening weekend, it will be overshadowed by Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3rd wave.
It will be interesting to see how the Dulquer Salmaan starrer performs at the box office in the long run once the festive period ends.
